Description

Set off on a wildlife adventure to Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve, two of Kenya's most renowned wildlife destinations. Travel through the Great Rift Valley and venture deep into the African plains, embarking on daily game drives throughout the parks. Look out for the Big Five, along with a variety of mammals and birds.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a representative will greet you and transfer you to Panafric Hotel in Nairobi for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival schedule, you may opt for a Nairobi City Tour or a game drive at Nairobi National Park.

Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park, stopping briefly at a viewpoint to take in the stunning views of Mt. Longonot and the Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, go on a game drive before breaking for lunch. Post-lunch, you can join another optional game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its diverse birdlife, with over 400 species, and is home to animals like black and white rhinos, buffalo, leopards, and various monkeys.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Following breakfast, we will drive through the picturesque Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, part of the expansive Serengeti and known for the great wildebeest migration. After lunch at our lodge, you can relax before embarking on an afternoon game drive, where you may encounter a variety of large mammals.

Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Spend the day in Masai Mara Game Reserve searching for big cats and witnessing the famous migration. All five of the Big Five can be found here, along with large herds of zebras and various other animals. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy spotting over 400 species, including colorful vultures and eagles.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve to Nairobi

If you’re not taking the optional hot air balloon ride, start with morning tea or coffee followed by a game drive to spot grazing animals and elusive leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast, with the option to visit a local Maasai village (for an additional charge). Depart Masai Mara by road, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon, with lunch along the way.
